“You don't have to do this.”

Emily looked at him.

“You said that before.”

“Yes.”

“And I ignored you.”

“This time will be different?”

Emily looked toward the mountains.

“No.”

Nathaniel almost smiled.

“You haven't changed.”

Emily glanced at him.

“You expected me to?”

“No.”

“Why?”

“Because Evelyn would have been disappointed if you did.”

The mention of her mother made Emily quiet.

They continued toward the hidden entrance.

The old Astra facility was buried under snow and rock.

But someone had recently opened the security system.

Someone was waiting.

Emily looked at the massive steel door.

“The person who sent the message knew we would come.”

Nathaniel nodded.

“Yes.”

“Who?”

He looked at the door.

“I think you already know.”

The door opened.

Inside.

Everything was frozen in time.

Old computers.

Research rooms.

Broken equipment.

The remains of Astra.

Emily walked slowly.

Every corner carried memories she never fully remembered.

Then she stopped.

Emily stared.

“My family created this place.”

Nathaniel answered quietly.

“Yes.”

“And then destroyed each other.”

Silence.

A voice came from the darkness.

Emily turned.

A man walked out.

Gray hair.

Tired eyes.

But familiar.

Even without anyone telling her…

She knew.

“I believed technology could solve human problems.”

“I believed understanding people would create peace.”

“I was wrong.”

Alexander said.

“Everyone wanted it.”

Emily looked at him.

“Because I believed humans would use it responsibly.”

A bitter smile.

Emily walked closer.

Alexander accepted the words.

“Yes.”

Her eyes became cold.

“You left my mother.”

“Yes.”

His voice became quieter.

“Yes.”

The honesty surprised her.

No excuses.

“Why didn't you take me?”

Alexander looked at her.

“Because someone was watching.”

“Who?”

He did not answer.

Emily already knew.

“The person who destroyed Astra.”

Alexander nodded.

“Yes.”

The four people connected to the past finally stood together.

Emily.

Nathaniel.

“Tell me the truth.”

Emily said.

“Everything.”

Alexander looked at Nathaniel.

Then at her.

“Your mother wanted to expose the person who betrayed Astra.”

“Who?”

“We never knew.”

Emily frowned.

“But you knew something.”

“Yes.”

“What?”

Alexander walked toward an old computer.

He activated it.

A hidden file appeared.

ASTRA FINAL PROJECT.

Inside:

Names.

Records.

Research.

And one shocking detail.

Emily Carter.

Emily stared.

“Again.”

“Why is my name everywhere?”

Alexander looked at her.

“Because Genesis needed a human connection.”

“What does that mean?”

“It learned from human behavior.”

“Your mother believed the system needed empathy.”

“A person who understood emotions.”

Emily's expression changed.

“You mean…”

Alexander nodded.

“You.”

“I was a child.”

“Yes.”

Nathaniel immediately looked toward the entrance.

“He found us.”

Emily turned.

“Who?”

Nathaniel's expression became cold.

A figure appeared on the security monitor.

Not Nathaniel Voss.

Not a stranger.

Someone Emily knew.

Someone impossible.

Adrian received an emergency message.

Astra facility activated.

His expression changed.

Because he knew what it meant.

Inside Blackridge Valley.

The person entered.

Emily watched the screen.

Then froze.

Because the face appeared.

Lillian Vale.

Emily whispered:

“No.”

Nathaniel looked surprised.

“Lillian?”

The woman who saved her.

The woman her mother trusted.

The woman who protected her.

Was standing inside Astra.

The doors opened.

Lillian walked in.

She looked at Alexander.

Then at Emily.

And said:

“You shouldn't have brought her here.”

The atmosphere changed instantly.

Emily looked at Lillian.

“Why?”

Lillian did not answer.

“Why are you here?”

Still silence.

Emily stepped forward.

“You erased my identity.”

“You protected me.”

“You said my mother trusted you.”

A pause.

“Was any of it real?”

Lillian's expression changed.

Pain.

Not guilt.

Pain.

“Everything was real.”

“Then explain.”

Alexander looked at Lillian.

“You knew this day would happen.”

“Yes.”

“You should have stopped her.”

“No.”

Lillian looked at Emily.

“I should have prepared her.”

Emily frowned.

“Prepared me for what?”

Lillian walked toward the old computer.

She entered a password.

The screen opened.

A hidden recording appeared.

Evelyn Carter.

Emily stopped breathing.

Her mother.

The recording began.

“Lillian.”

“If Emily reaches this place…”

“It means she finally knows enough.”

Emily's eyes became wet.

Evelyn continued:

“I know everyone will tell her different stories.”

“Some will say Alexander betrayed me.”

“Some will say Nathaniel did.”

“Some will say Adrian knew everything.”

“But the truth is…”

A pause.

“I was the one who made the final decision.”

Emily froze.

“What?”

The recording continued.

“I activated the explosion.”

Silence.

Everyone stopped.

Evelyn's voice continued.

“I destroyed Astra.”

Emily stepped back.

“No…”

Her mother.

The person she spent ten years trying to avenge.

Was responsible.

“I did it because Genesis could not fall into anyone's hands.”

“I knew someone would come for Emily.”

“I knew someone would use her.”

“So I erased Astra.”

“And I erased my daughter from the world.”

The recording ended.

Nobody spoke.

Emily stood there.

Unable to move.

“Why?”

Her voice broke.

“Why would she do that?”

Alexander looked at her.

“Because she loved you.”

Emily shook her head.

“No.”

“She lied to me.”

“She disappeared.”

“She let me believe she was dead.”

Lillian walked closer.

“She did all of that…”

“Because she knew the person hunting Genesis would never stop.”

Emily looked at Lillian.

“Who?”

Lillian answered:

“The person who funded Astra.”

Silence.

“The person who wanted Genesis from the beginning.”

Emily waited.

Then Lillian said:

“The founder of the organization behind everything.”

A name appeared on the screen.

A name nobody expected.

A name connected to every family.

Every company.

Every event.

Victor Vale.

Emily froze.

“Vale?”

Lillian closed her eyes.

“Yes.”

“My father.”

The room became silent.

Another family.

Another secret.

Another hidden connection.

Lillian continued:

“Victor Vale was not just a businessman.”

“He created the network that controlled Astra.”

“He wanted Genesis.”

“And when Evelyn refused…”

“He destroyed everything.”

Emily looked at Lillian.

“Then why are you helping me?”

Lillian answered quietly:

Lillian looked at Emily.

“I was Victor Vale's daughter.”

“I was sent into Astra to steal Genesis.”

A pause.

“But I chose Evelyn.”

The truth finally appeared.

Every screen inside the facility turned on.

A man's face appeared.

Older.

Powerful.

Cold.

Victor Vale.

He smiled.

“Emily Carter.”

“Your mother always believed she could protect you.”

A pause.

“She was wrong.”

Emily stared.

Victor continued:

“Because Genesis was never destroyed.”

“It was transferred.”

The screen changed.

A file appeared.

PROJECT GENESIS.

CURRENT LOCATION:

UNKNOWN.

Victor smiled.

“And the person holding it…”

“Is closer to you than you think.”

The screen went black.

Emily stood frozen.

Because the game had changed again.

The truth was no longer about the past.

It was about the present.

And someone beside her…
